Why I charge what I charge:

Like many skilled professions, it can be difficult to define the true ‘cost’ of a piano service. My aim is to provide a consistently high standard of work at a fair and reasonable price, striking a careful balance between quality and affordability. Larger institutions in London often charge significantly more for comparable services, while some independent tuners may charge less.

Pianos are delicate and highly refined instruments that deserve proper care and should only be serviced by qualified professionals who understand and respect the instrument. With over 15 years of experience as a piano technician working for concert venues, recording studios, schools, and private clients, I have developed a strong reputation and a large base of satisfied customers. My pricing reflects a considered mid-range approach that prioritises quality, reliability, and long-term stability.

There will always be cheaper options, but high-quality work requires time, skill, and experience. In the rare event that an issue arises after the service has been completed, I will return to resolve it at no additional cost.

Finally, I am also a working jazz musician based in London. This musical background directly informs my approach as a piano technician, with particular attention to touch, tone, and overall musical responsiveness. If you have any questions, please feel free to get in touch.
