Charlton is very much home territory. My workshop is based here at Thames-Side Studios, and I regularly tune and service pianos throughout SE7 - from up the hill towards Charlton Village to the riverside streets and into neighbouring Woolwich and Greenwich. It’s an area with a genuine musical thread running through it as the home of Squeeze, and of 45RPM Studios, where I have serviced their Steinway B.
The pianos I see locally range from long-standing family uprights to instruments used for recording, rehearsal, and teaching. Each one is slightly different. Some simply need steady maintenance to stay stable and responsive. Others benefit from more detailed regulation or tonal work to bring back clarity and balance across the keyboard.
