Piano Tuning In New Cross

New Cross is an area with a particularly active musical and academic scene, and I regularly provide piano tuning, servicing, and repairs for instruments across SE14. I have undertaken tuning work in Goldsmiths College, where instruments are in regular use for practice, teaching, and performance. Many of the other pianos I see in New Cross are in private homes, recording studios, teaching rooms, and some student accommodation.

Alongside piano tuning, I carry out regulation, repairs, voicing, cleaning, and valuations for both upright and grand pianos. Instruments that are played frequently, or have not been tuned for some time, often require more than just a standard tuning to restore even tone, reliable pitch, and consistent playability across the keyboard.

Having worked as a piano technician for over 15 years in concert venues, recording studios, schools, universities, and homes throughout London, I approach each piano with a careful and methodical assessment rather than a one-size-fits-all approach.

Whether the piano is used for daily practice, teaching, or occasional playing, regular maintenance helps preserve tuning stability, mechanical reliability, and overall musical quality. If you are unsure what level of service your piano requires, I am always happy to advise based on its condition, age, and how often it is played.
