Lewisham is an area I visit often for piano tuning, servicing, and repairs. It has a strong musical community and a real mix of homes and working spaces, and many of the pianos I look after here are instruments that get played regularly. The Fox & Firkin is one of my favourite live music venues in South London. Being only a short drive from Greenwich, it is an area I can usually accommodate easily within my South East London tuning rounds.
Rather than treating every piano the same, I work around the instrument in front of me. Some pianos in Lewisham simply need steady maintenance to keep tuning stable and the tone consistent. Others have been left for longer periods and may need more involved work to restore pitch, touch, and reliability. Small issues such as sticking keys, ringing notes, or noisy pedals are very common and are often straightforward to resolve during a service visit.
With over 15 years of experience working as a piano technician across concert venues, recording studios, schools, universities, and private homes, I bring a careful and practical approach to each appointment. The aim is always long-term stability and a piano that feels enjoyable and responsive to play. I also understand the musician’s side of things, and Lewisham has plenty of that energy.
If you would like to book a tuning in Lewisham or discuss what your piano might need, I am always happy to offer clear advice based on its condition, age, and how often it is used.
