New Cross Piano Tuning

If you live in New Cross and have a piano that needs tuning, then we can help. New Cross is a great spot with lots of art students and musicians. The Royal Albert pub does a fantastic jazz night every Sunday. We’ve tuned pianos for a good number of musicians, familes, and student in New Cross, and we occasionally get called to do concert tunings at Goldsmiths College.

The services we offer include piano tuning, repairs, servicing, assessments/valuations, cleaning, and voicing. A lot of pianos, whether they’re old or new, usually need a tune-up and sometimes a bit of cleaning and small fixes. If a piano hasn’t been tuned in a while, it’ll need some extra care. James, our main piano technician, has been working on pianos for over 12 years in all kinds of places like concert halls, recording studios, universities, schools, and plenty of homes. He used to work on Steinway & Sons pianos, so he has a wealth of experience.

Please have a browse of our website to see the piano services we offer, our prices, and frequently asked questions. Feel free to get in touch with us so we can help get your piano back to its best. We serve New Cross as part of our Central and South London area.

Some more information about piano tuning:

Piano tuning is the service pianos usually need the most. Pianos often fall out of tune because the strings gradually lose tension, causing a shift in pitch and the creation of unpleasant or discordant notes. Tuning a piano means tweaking each note to the right pitch using a specialized tool called a tuning hammer. This tool turns a pin, adjusting the string’s tension to make it either flatter or sharper.
